Karnival Jomheboh Tv3 Dataran Shah Bandar 25 & 26 Feb 2011

Jom Heboh will be held at Terengganu, Dataran Shah Bandar on 25th & 26th Feb 2011. I think this is the first time it is organised at Terengganu.

But why this event is planned at Dataran Shah Bandar? As now Terengganu has Pulau Warisan which already used last year for Sua Rasa 2010.

PIKOM Digital Lifestyle Expo 2010 (DLE) at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC)

Already finish today as I have no info about it. Anyway this is the details about the event:

• For the first time in Malaysia, consumers will have the opportunity to explore and experience the biggest and most extensive digital fair to be held at the PIKOM Digital Lifestyle Expo 2010. This three-day expo will showcase more than 50 global brands and 400 booths, making it the leading consumer electronics and mobile expo in the country.

King Ben takes the Monsoon Cup 2010

I was there during Monsoon Cup Closing Ceremony Yesterday

KUALA TERENGGANU: Ben Ainslie, of Teamorigin, is the winner of the Monsoon Cup championship, as well as champion of the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT).

Ainslie, the helmsman from Britain, defeated Torvar Mirsky (Mirsky Racing Team) 3-2 in the final match at Pulau Duyong Sunday.

Ainslie won RM310,000, while Mirsky took home RM215,000. As the WMRT champion, Ainslie also won USD50,000.

Third place was won by Jesper Radich (Gaastra Racing Team), the helmsman from Denmark. He took home RM155,000, while fourth prize of RM140,000 was won by Bjorn Hansen (Hansen Global Team).

The Monsoon Cup is currently the richest event on the WMRT, offering close to RM1.5mil in prize money. Terengganu State Secretary Datuk Mazlan Ngah presented the prizes to the winners.

Helmsman Ian Williams (Team GAC Pindar) won the fifth place with RM125,000, while Italian sailor, Francesco Bruni (Team Azzurra) was sixth and Datuk Peter Gilmour (YANMAR Racing) at seventh place.

The sole local participant, Jeremy Koo and his Koo Racing Team-Evernew crew won RM50,000.

Meanwhile, Mathieu Richard (French Match Racing) won second place in the WMRT with USD40,0000, while third place went to Mirsky, from Australia (USD35,000).

Aidiladha is a special religious festivity as this is the occassion where Muslims pay their respects to Prophet Abraham and his son Ismail, and it is 'sunat' for Muslims to perform the Qurban during Aidiladha.

The Qurban is performed after the Aidiladha prayers on the 10th of Zulhijjah right until the 13thday of the month (a space of four days).

Pulau Warisan To Be New Tourist Destination In Terengganu

KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu government is allocating about RM60 million to develop Pulau Warisan located next to Kampung Cina on the estuary of Sungai Terengganu, here.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said the six-hectare man-made island, developed three years ago, would be the latest tourist destination in the state.

"The island is not fully completed because we are in the process of providing various types of lightings to further beautify the area at night. So far, we have installed two flood lights while another two would be installed very soon.

"All the facilities on the island will be fully ready next year," he said when met during a visit to the island, here Friday.
