Deepavali Festival of Lights November 2007

Deepavali or Diwali, the annual Indian festival of lights is happening this Thursday, 8 November celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs across the globe, as the "Festival of Lights," where the lights or lamps signify the uplighting of darkness and victory of good over the evil within.

While I was writing this topic, hearing fire crackers burns sound anywhere near my neighborhood showing their joy to celebrate it. The clock just showing 5 minutes less to 12am. Yeah... I am wishing you all Happy Deepavali!

Muruku or sometimes spelled Murukku is a delicious snack famous among Malaysian especially Indians during Deepavali. Muruku is so easy to get anywhere in Malaysia. Crispy muruku made of rice flour and urad dal. I like it crispy and little spicy taste.

In Malaysia, muruku is a popular munchies not only among the Indian community but also a favourite among people of other races. You should try it!
